Qweebi Makerspace uses WebGL, a standard web technology that allows devices to run 3D graphics. Most modern devices support WebGL.
If you’re seeing a “WebGL Not Supported” message while loading Qweebi, follow the steps below to understand what’s happening and what to do next.
Step 1: Test WebGL on Your Device
Open this page in the same browser you’re using for Qweebi:
https://get.webgl.org/webgl2/
This page checks whether your browser can use WebGL2.
If you see “Your browser supports WebGL2”, your device supports WebGL.
If you see “WebGL2 is not supported,” “disabled,” or “unavailable,” WebGL is not currently usable in your browser.
Step 2: If the Test Page Says Your Browser Supports WebGL2, but Qweebi Still Shows the Error
This means WebGL is working at the browser level, and something else is preventing Qweebi from loading correctly.
👉 Please contact our team and we’ll help troubleshoot:
(If possible, include your device type and a screenshot of the error.)
Step 3: If the Test Page Says WebGL2 Is Not Supported, Disabled, or Unavailable
This usually happens for one of the following reasons:
Case 1: WebGL is blocked by school IT policy (very common)
On school-managed devices, hardware (GPU) acceleration or WebGL may be disabled by an administrator.
👉 In this case, please contact your school IT team and ask them to enable:
GPU / hardware acceleration
WebGL for the browser (Chrome, Edge, or Safari)
Once this is enabled, Qweebi Makerspace should load correctly.
Case 2: The device truly does not support WebGL
Unfortunately, Qweebi Makerspace will not run on that device.
Please try using a different device that supports WebGL.
