Student journals help students capture their thinking as they work through a Qweebi project. This article shows you where to find student journals in your Teacher Dashboard and how teachers commonly use them in class.
Where to find Student Journals
Student journals are available inside the Prepare section of each project.
Go to your Teacher Dashboard
Open Project Library
Click on the project you are running
Go to the Prepare tab
Open a specific Lesson
Under Lesson Materials, you’ll find the Student Journal
How teachers use Student Journals
Teachers use student journals to help students plan, explain their thinking, and reflect as they work through challenges.
Option 1: Print and hand out (Recommended)
Print the student journal
Give one copy to each student
Students write or draw their responses as they move through the lesson
This works well for classrooms that prefer paper-based work or quick check-ins.
Option 2: Share digitally using Google Classroom
Many teachers share student journals digitally so each student gets their own copy.
A common workflow is:
Open the student journal
Make a copy.
Share it through Google Classroom
Select “Make a copy for each student”
Students can then type, draw, or add images as they work through the project.
How teachers review student journals
Student journals are used alongside the Makerspace experience. Teachers may:
Review responses during or after the lesson
Collect journals through Google Classroom
Use them to guide discussions or assess student understanding
If you’re not seeing the student journals in a lesson, or you’re unsure how to share them with students, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to help.
