Parts of the Qweebi Platform

Your Qweebi platform has two parts:

1. Online Makerspace (Student Website)

This is where students and teachers go to build and test their creations β€” from roller coasters to robots β€” without needing real-world supplies. You can access the makerspace by going to make.qweebi.com and logging in using your teacher or student credentials.

2. Teacher Dashboard

This is exclusively for teachers! This is where teachers go to find STEM projects, assign them to students, track student progress, and assess their work.

Running STEM projects using your teacher dashboard

Run STEM projects in 5 easy steps.

Step 1: Choose a project

Browse our library of available STEM projects to find the perfect project for your students. Click on any project to explore the project overview page, accompany teacher resources, and even try the project yourself.

Step 2: Prep for it

Once you've decided which project you want to run, it's time to prep for it. Review the accompanying teacher resources to familiarize yourself with the project. Start by reviewing the lesson plan before delving into the teacher slides. We recommend you open up the makerspace and build the project yourself as you follow along with the teacher slides.

Step 3: Assign it to class

After preparing the project, it's time to assign it to your class. Follow these steps:

  1. Click on the "Assign" button located at the top right corner of your Project Overview Page.

  2. A menu with all your classes will appear. If you haven't created a class yet, the menu will guide you to create one first.

  3. Select the classroom you want to assign the project to.

  4. Your students will be able to see this project in the makerspace now.

Step 4: Run it in class

To run the project in class, just beam up the teacher slides and get your students to follow along. Every Qweebi project starts with a mission video that gets students excited about solving the problem, followed by a quick recap of the science concepts. Then students fire up the online makerspace to do the EDP challenge and record show-and-tell videos to share their creations.

Step 5: Assess student work

  1. After you've run the project, you can find the student work by going to My Classes β†’ Class Name β†’ Submissions and selecting the relevant project and a challenge.

  2. Click on "View Submission" next to the student's name.

  3. Qweebi lets you use a STEM rubric to assess student work and give feedback. Use the built-in rubric to grade student work and share feedback.

That's all there is to it! Now, you're ready to run STEM projects on Qweebi. Have fun!
