Invite another teacher to help manage your class in Qweebi. Co-teachers can help run lessons, grade submissions, and track student progress, while you remain in control as the class owner.
What can a co-teacher do?
Co-teachers can:
Manage lessons
Grade student submissions
View student progress
Co-teachers cannot:
Add or remove students
Assign or unassign projects
Add, remove, or manage other teachers
Archive the class
These permissions are the same for every co-teacher and cannot currently be customized for individual teachers.
How to add a co-teacher
Go to My Classes and open the class you would like to add a co-teacher to.
Select the Teachers tab.
Click Add Teacher.
Enter the co-teacher’s email address.
Optional: Click What can co-teachers do? to review their access.
Click Send invite.
What happens after you send the invite?
If the teacher already has a Qweebi account
The invitation will appear under Pending invites on their My Classes page. They can accept or decline the invitation.
They will also receive an email letting them know they have been invited.
Once they accept, their status will change to Joined in your class’s Teachers tab.
If the teacher does not have a Qweebi account
They will receive an email inviting them to create an account.
They must sign up using the same email address that you invited. After signing up, the invitation will appear under Pending invites on their My Classes page, where they can accept or decline it.
Until they accept, their status will appear as Invite sent in your Teachers tab.
Managing co-teachers
From the Teachers tab, you can see the status of each teacher associated with your class.
Status | Meaning |
Joined | The co-teacher has accepted the invitation and can access the class. |
Invite sent | The invitation has not yet been accepted. |
Declined | The teacher declined the invitation. |
Click the ⋮ menu next to a co-teacher’s name to:
Resend invite: Send the invitation again if their status is Invite sent.
Re-invite: Send a new invitation if they previously declined.
Remove: Remove the co-teacher from the class at any time.
The available options may vary depending on the teacher’s current status.
If a co-teacher leaves your class
Co-teachers can leave a class at any time.
If a co-teacher leaves, you will receive an email notification. You can invite them again or add another teacher from the Teachers tab.
Frequently asked questions
1. Can I customize what a co-teacher can do?
Not currently. All co-teachers receive the same permissions listed above.
2. Can a co-teacher add or remove other teachers?
No. Only the class owner can manage the teachers who have access to the class.
3. What happens if I remove a co-teacher?
Nothing changes for your class or students. The co-teacher simply loses access to the class.
4. Can I add more than one co-teacher?
Yes. You can invite multiple co-teachers to the same class.
You're all set! Once your co-teachers accept their invitations, they'll appear in the Teachers tab and can begin helping with your class right away.
