🏫 How to create a class, add students, and share login instructions with them?

The article covers step-by-step instructions for creating a class, adding students, and sharing log-in instructions with them.

Create a Class

To create a class, you can either create one or multiple classes manually, or import existing classes from Google Classroom.

Option 1: Create one or multiple classes at once

Follow the step-by-step guide below to create one or multiple classes.

  1. Go to My Classes

  2. Click “+ Add New Class.

  3. On the popup, choose Create a New Class.

  4. By default, One class is selected.

    1. To create just one class, enter the class name and select the grade, then click Add Class.

    2. To create multiple classes at once, click the Multiple classes tab and enter class names and grades for each row.

Option 2: Import classes from Google Classroom

  1. Go to My Classes in your Qweebi dashboard.

  2. Click Add New Class

  3. Select Import from Google Classroom.

  4. Click Continue with Google and sign in with your Google Classroom account.

  5. Select which classes you want to import.

  6. Click Import - done!

Your imported class will automatically include all students from Google Classroom.


Add students to your class

Depending on how your class was created, the way you add students will be different.

If you created the class manually

If you created the class manually, you can add students in three ways.

Option 1: Add one student

Best for adding a student quickly.

  1. Go to your class and open the Students tab

  2. Click Add Students

  3. By default, One student is selected

  4. Enter the student’s name (real name not required) and username

    1. The username is how the student logs in

    2. Each username must be unique within the class

  5. Click Add Student

The student will appear immediately in the Students list.

Option 2: Add multiple students

Best for adding a small group of students quickly.

  1. Go to your class and open the Students tab

  2. Click Add Students

  3. Select Multiple students

  4. Enter student names and usernames for each row

    • Real names are not required

    • Each username must be unique within the class

  5. Click Add Students

All students will be added to the class at once.

Option 3: Upload students using a CSV file

Best for adding many students at once.

  1. Go to your class and open the Students tab

  2. Click Add Students

  3. Select Upload CSV

  4. Click View CSV template and instructions

  5. Download the CSV template

  6. Enter student names and usernames in the template

    1. Keep the column headers exactly as shown

    2. Each username must be unique within the class

  7. Save the file as a CSV

  8. Return to the Upload CSV tab

  9. Upload the file and click Add Students

If your class was imported from Google Classroom

You cannot manually add students inside Qweebi.
All student additions or removals must be done in Google Classroom.

Once you’ve updated your roster in Google Classroom:

  1. Return to Qweebi.

  2. Go to My Classes → select your imported class.

  3. Click Sync from Google Classroom.

  4. The updated student list will sync automatically.


Share login instructions with students.

Once you've added your students, they can log in to your class using the username you set up in the previous step.

To share login instructions with your students,

  1. Click on the "Share Login Instructions" button.

  2. Copy the instructions in the prompt.

  3. Share the instructions with students using your preferred LMS.

    (The below screenshot shows how you might share instructions using Google Classroom.)

  4. Distribute student usernames individually.

  5. Students go to the class login page and enter their username to join the class.
